The title of the book, 《家族》, is pronounced Jiazu in Chinese. It means family in English. When I returned to China in the winter of 2023, I realized that I had almost never really used a camera to record my closest subjects - my family. I started to capture their most natural and simple moments.My parents, grandmother, young brother and cat, we live together.
This series focuses not only on the people themselves, but equally on the objects that quietly accompany our lives. Those seemingly mundane yet warm moments allow the viewer to find resonance in my work and feel a special connection with my family. The meaning of home is universal no matter where you come from. It aims to inspire memories of home and appreciation of those seemingly ordinary but precious moments.
